Delivery Details

  • 'Working Day' means Monday - Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
  • Delivery prices are worked out automatically based on weight and destination.
  • Orders placed before 3:30pm will be dispatched same day (Monday-Friday).
  • We currently use Royal Mail, DPD and Parcelforce to make deliveries.
  • Accurate address details must be entered, we cannot be held responsible for any delays or non-delivery that occur due to an incorrect address detail.
  • If you would like to add any further instructions for DPD Delivery, please add to the notes section on the DPD App. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the instructions will be followed by the delivery person.
  • Sometimes there will be unforeseen delays due to acts of God, snow, floods, road accidents/closures etc. When this happens, we will do our utmost to inform you of the delay ASAP and let you know an estimated delivery time. We cannot be held responsible for these unforeseen circumstances and are unfortunately unable to offer a refund should these occur.
  • Once delivered at the given address, the order is no longer the responsibility of Balloon Market. If the goods are accepted or signed for by someone other than the recipient, but not passed on, we cannot take responsibility for this or offer any refund.

Drive-through Collection from Southampton!

 

Get your order delivered straight to your car! Place your order and you’ll be able to collect within 2 hours*! Simply buzz in, pull up and we will bring your order out to you. We are open 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class

 

The option of 1st and 2nd Class Royal Mail will only be offered if your order is below 2kg in weight.

 

Service offered to the UK & Channel Islands.

We also offer Royal Mail shipping for orders between 2kg – 10kg for customers in Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and Scottish Highlands & Islands only.

Sadly, we are unable to provide a guaranteed delivery date or time for your goods if Royal Mail is chosen.  Delivery is usually made between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

 

If the order does not fit through your letterbox, a card is usually left with instructions and the goods will be taken back to the Royal Mail depot.

 

Limited tracking information is available – we can only see when delivery has been attempted or delivered.

 

Royal Mail Special Delivery

 

Royal Mail Special Delivery Before 1pm is available for delivery between Monday to Friday in limited areas if your order is below 2kgs.

 

If you require this delivery method but it is not available to you at checkout or you require a Saturday delivery, please get in touch.

A signature will be required if choosing Special Delivery. If no-one is available to sign for the delivery, a card will be left with instructions and the goods will be taken back to the Royal Mail depot.

 

Limited tracking information is available – we can only see when the order is out for delivery, and if delivery has been attempted or delivered.

 

DPD Pickup

With DPD Pickup, you can have your order delivered to a secure and convenient location with over 6,500 DPD Pickup locations across Mainland UK, including Sainsburys, Co-op, Post Office and more.

  • Mainland UK: Delivered to the pickup shop 1 - 2 working days after dispatch*.
  • Scottish Highlands & Islands: Delivered to the pickup shop 2 - 3 working days after dispatch*.
  • Northern Ireland: Delivered to the pickup shop 2 - 3 working days after dispatch*.
  • Choose a convenient location, close to home or your event, and pickup at a time that suits you (pickup shop opening hours vary)
  • A greener delivery option, DPD Pickup is better for the environment by up to 85% as multiple orders can be delivered to a single location.
  • You will receive an email from DPD with your Pickup Pass when your order is ready to collect. You will then have 7 days to pick up your order

Due to size limits, we are unable to send some products via DPD Pickup. If a product in your basket is over the size limit, you will not be able to choose DPD Pickup as your delivery method at checkout.

 

*Although we have found the DPD Pickup service to be reliable, as with any delivery service, things do occasionally go wrong and your parcel may not be delivered on the next working day. There are a variety of factors which can cause delays, for example, if a Pickup shop is at capacity and cannot accept any more parcels. On the rare occasion this does happen, we will do our utmost to contact you ASAP and to discuss the options available to you.

 

Parcelforce Delivery

 

Allow 1 – 2 days for delivery. Suitable if you want your items quickly but not urgently (i.e. you have a few days to play with).

 

Parcelforce will mainly be used, but there may be occasions where your order is sent with DPD. 

A signature will be required for delivery. If no one is available to sign for the order, Parcelforce will not leave the order in a safe place and it will either be left at the local Post Office or taken back to the Parcelforce depot.

 

DPD Delivery 

 

Need your items the following working day (Monday – Friday)? This is the option for you! 1 working day for delivery.

 

Where possible we will use DPD. Some products can only be sent with Parcelforce; this is usually stated on the product image on the website.

DPD will send tracking information via text and / or email. If you do not receive tracking information via text, please get in touch to add your number.

 

DPD will leave your order in a safe place if instructed by you. You can add notes at checkout or give them directly to DPD. If DPD do not receive instruction to leave the order in safe place if no one is available to sign, they will return the order to the local DPD depot.

Age Restricted Products & Deliveries

 

Some of our products are age restricted, for example scissors, blades and products containing alcohol. When adding the product to your basket, you will be required to enter your date of birth to verify that you are over 18.

 

You will need to ensure you are available to accept and sign for your parcel. Our couriers, Parcelforce or DPD, will request ID (passport or driving license) if the recipient looks under 25.

 

If your parcel has products which are age restricted, it can not be left in a safe place or with a neighbour.

Scottish Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland 

 

In certain parts of the UK a next working day delivery service is, unfortunately, not available with Parcelforce or DPD.

 

Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man & Isle of Scilly are sent with Parcelforce on a 2-3 working day service.

 

Northern Ireland is sent with DPD on a 2 – 3 working day service.

With Parcelforce, a signature will be required for delivery. If no one is available to sign for the order, Parcelforce will not leave the order in a safe place and it will either be left at the local Post Office or taken back to the Parcelforce depot.

International Delivery options – including Channel Islands

 

International destinations are defined in the table below. These are guidelines and are not guaranteed delivery times. 

 

Most orders are dispatched with Parcelforce/GLS. If you require tracking information, please get in touch.

 

In some situations (such as ordering larger items that will not fit in the main package) there may be an extra delivery charge. Should this be the case you will be contacted by a member of our team before dispatch of your order.

 

It is likely that you will have to pay customs duties, import VAT and import fees on your order. This differs depending on your country, so we are unable to confirm how much this will be.
